Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of physiotherapy services by Arcus Physiotherapy ("the Practice", "we", "us", or "our"). By booking or attending an appointment, you ("the client", "you" or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Physiotherapy Services

We provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, exercise prescription, education, and related physiotherapy services.

All treatments are provided based on your provision of accurate information, our professional clinical judgement and current evidence-based practice.

3. Appointments

Appointments may be booked online, by telephone (call or text), email or in person.

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure appointments run on time; however, delays may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

​

Clients are responsible for attending appointments at the agreed upon time.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees for consultations and treatment sessions are available upon request and on the website, we reserve the right to update these from time to time.

Payment is due at booking of appointment unless agreed otherwise in writing.

​

Accepted payments include card/online payment/bank transfer (details available upon request)

5. Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

​

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged up to 100% of the appointment fee.

​

Failure to attend an appointment without notice ("No-Show", "Did Not Attend", "DNA") will result in the full appointment fee being charged.

​

We reserve the right to require advance payment for future appointments following repeated late cancellations or non-attendance.

6. Consent to Treatment

Before treatment begins, clients will be given the opportunity to discuss their condition, proposed treatment, benefits, risks and alternatives.

By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.

  • You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, medications, injuries or concerns.

  • You consent to physiotherapy assessment and treatment.

You may withdraw consent at any point in time.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date medical information.

  • Inform us of any changes to their health status.

  • Follow advice and exercise programmes as instructed.

  • Raise any concerns regarding treatment promptly.

Failure to follow professional advice may affect treatment outcomes.

8. Results and Outcomes

While physiotherapy can be highly effective, no guarantee can be given regarding treatment outcomes.

Recovery and treatment results vary between individuals depending on numerous factors including injury severity, medical history, compliance with treatment recommendations, and lifestyle factors.

9. Limitation of Liability

We will provide services with reasonable skill, care and professional competence.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law

10. Medical Emergencies

Physiotherapy services are not a substitute for emergency medical care.

​

If you experience severe symptoms, chest pain, difficulty breathing, suspected fracture, neurological symptoms, or any medical emergency, you should seek immediate medical attention or contact emergency services.

11. Confidentiality

Client information will be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with applicable professional, ethical, and legal requirements.

Information may be shared with other healthcare professionals where clinically appropriate and with your consent, unless disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect safety.

12. Data Protection

We process personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal information is collected and used for:

  • Providing healthcare services.

  • Maintaining clinical records.

  • Appointment Administration.

  • Legal and regulatory compliance.

Clients may request access to their personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

13. Children and Vulnerable Adults 

Patients under the age of 18 must have consent provided by a parent, legal guardian, or other person with parental responsibility.

We reserve the right to require a parent or guardian to attend appointments involving minors.
